On 23 and 24 June, public transport in Riga will be free of charge, with additional trips

Rīgas satiksme informs that on 23 and 24 June public transport in Riga is free of charge. During the Summer Solstice holidays there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres.

Tickets

On 23 and 24 June, Rīgas satiksme buses, trolleybuses and trams will be free of charge, so passengers do not need to register their e-ticket or code ticket.

Public transport

Public transport will run according to the holiday schedule on the public holidays. However, to ensure that people can get to and from the event locations in different parts of the city, additional trips will be organised on the following bus, trolleybus, and tram routes from approximately 19:00 on 23 June and until approximately 05:30 on the night of 24 June:

*On tram route 5, additional night trips are organised on the route section Stacijas laukums-Mīlgrāvis.  On the bus route 5T, no additional night trips are organised. The route runs according to the regular weekend schedule!

Parking lots

On 23 and 24 June, Riga City Council’s paid parking lots, managed by Rīgas satiksme, will be free to use, except for the underground parking lot on Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5a near the Congress Centre – parking there is charged according to the current tariffs.

Customer service centres

On 22 June, the opening hours of the Customer service centre at Brīvības iela 49/53 will be from 8:00 to 17:00. Other customer service centres will be open as usual on a weekday – on Spīķeru iela 1 until 19:00 and the other customer service centres until 18:00. All customer service centres will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 23, 24 and 25 June.
